Bride & Groom

Finally! Half the day has probably wizzed by at this point. You have alone time with your husband or wife now. Well, not alone, alone since I will be there with you but you know what I mean. This is our chance to get some epic shots of you two. If the bride and groom portraits will be done in a different area, you will want it to be close to the venue to avoid traffic delays getting to your grand entrance and you will also want to do it somewhere close to not spend too much time traveling to the location. This requires planning and I am here for you to work it out.

Portraits At The Venue

This is probably the best case scenario. You are already at the location where you are going to take photos together. The travel time is probably just a few steps away. The place is beautiful I’m sure and you are totally relaxed and ready for amazing photographs to be taken.

Permitted Locations

This is probably going to be tricky. You want your wedding photographs to be somewhere amazing. Parks are nice sure and some parks are nicer than others. There are countless parks with grass and some trees but they also have a swing in the background and people having a bbq in the background too. I do my best to avoid all of these things for sure but there are places that you can go to where it is designed to look amazing. Everywhere you turn is a beautiful photograph ready to happen. You may need to pay for a permit for these places but my goodness the images that can be captured there are amazing!

All I Need Is 20 Minutes

In some cases actually only 10 minutes. That really isn’t to say that an hour or 30 minutes isn’t better because it is better to have more time. If you have an engagement session with me you’ll know how fast I work. I can get so many photographs taken in such a short amount of time. I would love it though if we could take our time just a bit and be able to move around and get different types of backgrounds in the shots. PCH is super busy and here we stopped for what seemed like 5 minutes but was actually about 10 minutes. Not only did we get amazing photographs but we also get great video too!

Variety

One last point I want to bring up is a first look. Have you heard about this? If not, don’t look it up, just call me and I’ll be happy to explain all the great pros about a first look. The biggest pro to a first look is that you get to see your husband or wife for a much larger portion of the day. Which means you can take couples portraits at just about any time after you see each other for the first time that day. This gives you more variety to your photographs. You can get photos together here and there and maybe some over there. To me variety is awesome.
